Foster Care Resources

Breaking the Stigma Video Series

This 4-part video series was done to reduce the stigma surrounded by teens in foster care. We are very excited to share with the community the journey of several young people, with experience in foster care, who are focused on empowering and embracing positive change in the child welfare system. These videos were done in partnership with Bay Area Workforce Development Board, the Region 2 grantee for the Independent Living Program and Foundations Health & Wholeness, a statewide nonprofit treatment foster care agency.

It takes a community.

Here are some of the dynamic organizations and collaborations working together in foster care:

Foster The Village: clothing, shoes, and other basic care items for foster families in Brown County

Chosen: resources for foster and adoptive families in Greater Milwaukee

Coalition for Children, Youth & Families

WAFCA (Wisconsin Association of Families & Children’s Agencies)

The Power of One Caring Adult: Video about how every child is one caring adult away from being a success story
