For over a decade, through its annual ethics awards luncheon, Foundations has led the charge to recognize and celebrate the important connection between good ethics and mental wellness. Each year, individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and youth are nominated for ethics awards. These nominees go through a thorough process with an independent research committee led by Dr. John Stoll of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Public Administration Department, and an independent selection committee led by Dr. Grant Rozeboom and Dr. Benjamin Chan of St. Norbert College’s Donald J. Schneider School of Business & Economics. Foundations’ Ethics Awards Luncheon is a yearly celebration of ethical leaders in our community. The luncheon event is a time for nominees, award recipients, and attendees, alike, to celebrate, and reflect how we can be role models in our communities, organizations, and within our networks every day. Over 600 people attend the annual event.
Prior to the luncheon and awards ceremony, over 50 high school students and government leaders spend the morning together, discussing ethics. Students break out into small groups to discuss real-world ethical scenarios and present their findings with each other. Students then attend the luncheon at no cost thanks to generous sponsors who share their tables with them. Last year, we expanded the number of students and schools at the forum. Schools, teachers, and government officials support this engaging event.
All proceeds from this event help children, adults, and families in Brown County need get the mental health counseling that they otherwise could not afford.
