Dr. Michelle Schoenleber

Works with Clients of All Ages

PASSION POINT: Helping Clients Live Authentically

I specialize in evidence-based behavioral practices, and primarily provide cognitive-behavioral treatments to adults with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression, and personality disorders. I am additionally trained to provide motivational interviewing and have experience in acceptance-based psychotherapies. I also conduct diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments for people of all ages.

In my work as an Associate Professor of Psychology at St. Norbert College, I study the motivational nature of emotions and its connection with personality in the onset and maintenance of psychopathology. One particular emotion, shame, is central in much of my work. My work also aims to develop effective shame-focused interventions for individuals with a variety of presenting problems.
