James Jozwiak, MSW, APSW
Works with teens and adults
I am a resident therapist located at N.E.W Community Clinic and the Micah Center in Green Bay, WI. I have experience working with a wide variety of complex issues such as Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also have a significant amount of experience working with veterans pertaining to issues they face after transitioning into civilian life. I am trained in brain spotting, motivational interviewing, and TF-CBT. I believe that anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy, no matter the issue.
Since everyone has their own struggles and comes to therapy for their own reasons, I believe in utilizing an individually tailored approach when working with clients. I have a calm demeanor and I am a great listener, but I can also be sarcastic and enjoy using humor to assist clients in feeling more comfortable when talking through difficult issues. I believe in utilizing a collaborative approach to help clients realize their own strengths and worth even when it may be difficult for clients to see these things themselves.
My Philosophy
I believe that anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy, no matter how small or big the issues. I help clients identify issues and develop the skills necessary to work through them and realize their full potential. I utilize a collaborative approach, so I enjoy working with clients to help them find the answers to their own questions as well as assisting them in developing their own strengths to grow and succeed as individuals.
