LCSW, CASC
PASSION POINT: Walking Side-by-Side with Clients

With over 30 years of experience, I believe you are the expert of you! My role is to assist you in defining your goals for counseling and then provide you with the skills and knowledge to achieve those goals. My approach to therapy tends to be client centered with knowledge and skill in cognitive behavioral (CBT), solution focused and family systems therapies. I use Brainspotting with clients who have survived traumatic experiences as well as other select issues. I am a certified alcohol and drug counseling who is experienced in 12 Step programs and other recovery based concepts.

Although I never can say “I know” how someone feels, I have used my own struggles to remind me of how sadness, hurt, anger, disappointment and confusion feel and to know there is life beyond the pain and confusion. Being able to admit that I have had difficult times keeps me humble and grateful for my good days. I have such gratitude to the people who have put their trust in me to help them see their way through the difficult time in their life. I looks forward to meeting you and assisting you in your life journey.

My Philosophy

My clients probably say that I am real and to the point. I have years of therapy experience to assist me in understanding a multitude of mental health issues and clients have said they appreciate that. I use humor and stories to help clients understand themselves and the world around them.
