LEADERSHIP CHANGES IN MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING PROGRAM AT

BROWN COUNTY NONPROFIT FOUNDATIONS HEALTH & WHOLENESS

Green Bay, WI (June 15, 2022) – As part of its robust succession planning efforts, Foundations Health & Wholeness announces leadership changes in its mental health counseling program. After 7 years in the position, Julie Feld, LCSW, CSAC, retired as Director of Counseling at Foundations Health & Wholeness. Although she stepped down from her leadership position as Director, the organization is pleased that Feld will remain with the mission as a part-time therapist, and she will continue serving the needs of our most vulnerable community members. Feld is leading the launch of collaborative behavioral health services at N.E.W. Community Clinic’s expanded services at its new location.

Lana Cheslock, LCSW, who is the current Clinical Director of Foundations’ Resident Training Program, accepted a new title and corresponding duties as the lead Clinical Director of Counseling Operations and Services. Additionally, Joanne Klysen, LPC, has been promoted to Director of Community-Based Counseling Services, including Foundations’ extensive community partnerships, such as school-based mental health, the Brown County Aging & Disability Resource Center, and several local homeless shelters.

“We are excited for Lana Cheslock and Joanne Klysen to take on the challenges of their new roles,” said Ryan Good, CEO and President of Foundations Health & Wholeness, “They represent the best of Foundations, including our values, strategic thinking, and collaborative spirit. These changes also reflect the dedication and leadership of Julie Feld over the past several years as she has led the mental health counseling team and its critical work to address issues surrounding mental health in our community. Of particular note, Julie led innovative work related to therapist training and technology advances in our counseling program. She also led efforts regarding the mental health of our clients and community during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we help Julie celebrate her retirement journey, we will strive to build from her leadership and innovation in many ways. Julie has been the epitome of a servant leader, and our mission is better because of her and her leadership.”
